European equities ahead at open

Europe’s top stock markets won ground in opening deals on Monday.

London’s benchmark FTSE 100 shares index advanced 0.4 percent to stand at 7,645.91 points.

In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 rose 0.2 percent to 7,604.34 points and the Frankfurt DAX added 0.1 percent to reach 16,925.89.
