The Golden State Warriors stood undefeated at the Chase Center on Saturday with their eighth consecutive home game victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Klay Thompson (28 points) and Stephen Curry (27 points) combined for 55 points defeating the Trail Blazers 126-106 over the weekend, and also in all three head-to-head meetings this season, according to the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) official website.

The Warriors committed nine turnovers in the first quarter, tied for the most in a quarter this season. Seven of these turnovers occurred during a 21-6 Portland run, giving the Trail Blazers their largest lead of 11 points.

In the second quarter, the Warriors committed only two turnovers and outscored Portland 24-9, taking an eight-point lead.

The Warriors outscored Portland by 18 points and committed fewer turnovers than the Trail Blazers in the frame (5-4) and entered halftime with an 11-point lead.

Thompson and Curry scored the first 22 points in the third quarter, shooting 9-for-13 from the field.

Thompson hit all three 3-pointers, but the streak ended after eight minutes when Moses Moody replaced Thompson with a mid-range jumper.

Meanwhile, Brandin Podziemski scored 15 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in a Warriors game, a triple-double record for a rookie.

He has at least five rebounds in 11 consecutive games, the longest streak by a Warriors rookie since the 2000-01 season centre Marc Jackson, according to NBA.
