Google has introduced the Google Pixel Watch 2 as the successor to its original smartwatch. The new watch features a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset, an upgrade from the previous Exynos 9110. It still maintains 2GB of RAM.
The Pixel Watch 2 has a 306mAh battery, slightly larger than the previous model’s 294mAh.
Google claims it offers a 24-hour battery life even with Always On Display active, and it can be charged quickly, providing 12 hours of use with just 30 minutes of charging.
The physical design of the watch remains similar to its predecessor, with a 41mm size and durable cover glass. The watch also uses 100% recycled aluminum.
The display is a circular 1.2″ OLED screen with a resolution of 384 x 384 pixels, which is slightly lower than the original model’s 450 x 450 pixels.
The watch includes various watch face options categorized as Accessible, Arc, Gold Digital, and Analog Bold. These cater to different preferences in terms of legibility and information density.
