India has accused Pakistan of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated on Saturday that “India responded to Pakistan’s ceasefire violations with retaliatory actions.” He added, “Pakistan has violated the agreement multiple times, even though it was signed just a few hours ago. Our armed forces are responding effectively and appropriately.”
On the other hand, Pakistan’s Information Minister Atta Tarar rejected India’s claims. In a statement on Saturday, he said, “There is no question of Pakistan violating the ceasefire. India always levels fabricated and baseless accusations, which should be avoided.”
Tarar further remarked, “India’s Foreign Secretary struggled to speak during his press briefing with the military spokesperson. Pakistan’s strong response has been celebrated by the public, and India’s allegations hold no truth.”
He emphasized that “Pakistan achieved significant success in retaliatory actions against Indian aggression, which earned the nation respect and prompted nationwide celebrations.”
Meanwhile, Azad Kashmir’s Interior Minister Colonel Waqar Noor alleged that Indian forces continued firing in Barnala Tehsil, along the Line of Control (LoC), after the ceasefire announcement, posing potential risks. Deputy Commissioner Haq Nawaz confirmed shelling in areas including Nali, Thub, Patni, and surroundings of Samani.
