Israel has continued its bombardment of Gaza, hitting areas across the besieged enclave after the end of a week-long truce.
According to the latest casualty figures as of December 4, 15,777 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and the West Bank, including at least 6,600 children.
Additionally, at least 44,681 Palestinians have been injured.
Meanwhile, at least 1,200 people have been killed in Israel since October 7 while 5,600 have been injured. Officials on November 10 revised the death toll from 1,405 to “around 1,200”.
Intense strikes and artillery shelling targeting areas in Gaza’s Khan Younis have been reported as the Israeli army announced to expand its ground operation in the southern part of the Khan Younis.
Raids and fire were also reported in Shujaiya and al-Tuffah which is further north near Gaza city.
According to reports, Israeli forces have warned that Khan Younis would be the center of its operation in the coming days.
The Israeli military said the three soldiers were killed in the besieged enclave during fighting on Sunday, according to Al Jazeera.
Sgt Maj Neriya Shaer, a 36-year-old reservist from Yavne, belonging to Battalion 6655 in the 55th Brigade, was killed in central Gaza.
Sgt First Class Ben Zussman, a 22-year-old reservist from Jerusalem, belonging to the 601st Battalion of the 401st Brigade of the Combat Engineering Corps, was killed in northern Gaza.
Sgt Binyamin Yehoshua Needham, 19, from Zichron Ya’akov, also from the 601st Battalion of the 401st Brigade of the Combat Engineering Corps, was also killed in northern Gaza.
