Following Prince William’s unannounced absence from the King Constantine Memorial Service, Kensington Palace has addressed worries about Kate Middleton’s health in a recent statement.
Royal watchers were reassured by the Palace that the Duchess of Cambridge ‘continues to be doing well’ allaying any anxieties.
Prince William left the service over a ‘personal matter’ according to Daily Mail stories, which raised concerns for the royal family’s welfare.
But the Palace made it clear that Kate Middleton is presently recovering at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor from stomach surgery that she had last month. As she concentrates on her recuperation, the Duchess is with her kids.
In the meantime, Queen Camilla presided over the touching ceremony in the church from the fifteenth century. She was joined by the troubled Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.
In addition, several Greek royal family members were there, along with Queen Anne-Marie, the late King Constantine’s widow, and their eldest son, Crown Prince Pavlos.
King Charles was noticeably missing from the service. He had recently received a diagnosis of an unidentified type of cancer earlier this month, and on medical advice, he chose not to attend. The fragile state of health in the royal family has come to light as a result of Prince William and King Charles’ absences.
King Constantine, who was eighty-two when he passed away from a stroke in January of last year, was honoured at the memorial service. The royal family and guests honoured his legacy and accomplishments to the kingdom in the gloomy setting.
