Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Khawaja Asif said on Tuesday that the return of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to the country will be a ‘’big event”.

Addressing the party’s workers’ convention in Sialkot, Asif said, ‘’The passion of the party workers is increasing with every passing day. Nawaz Sharif is coming to the country to be the premier for the fourth time.’’

Speaking about the general elections, Asif said, ‘’The elections will be held in January. The process of delimitation has increased. The nation will announce its decision regarding choosing the government in January.’’

”We have paid the political price for the sake of the country. For the past one and a half years, the country’s situation has been worsening,” Asif stated.

He praised PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, saying, ‘’During his tenure as the Punjab chief minister, he took historical initiatives to uphold the province. These initiatives are still being remembered by the people.’’
