Prominent US broadcaster MSNBC has come under scrutiny for its handling of three Muslim news anchors following the recent escalation in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The network has been accused of exhibiting undue sympathy for the Palestinian cause, leading to questions about the treatment of these anchor personalities.

According to a report by Semafor, MSNBC made the controversial decision not to air an episode of “The Mehdi Hasan Show” on Thursday, further altering plans for Ayman Mohyeldin to substitute on another program.

Moreover, the network also decided to replace Ali Velshi, a third Muslim-American anchor, with another host this weekend after he conducted an interview with a spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority.

While some have voiced concerns about MSNBC’s editorial decisions, the network has vehemently denied allegations of sidelining the three Muslim anchors. MSNBC’s official statement indicates that all three continue to participate in network programming, providing analysis and commentary on various issues, including the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

The controversy surrounding MSNBC’s approach to the conflict arose after Jonathan Greenblatt, director of the pro-Israel Anti-Defamation League, appeared on an MSNBC show and accused the network of displaying what he perceived as an excessive degree of sympathy for Hamas, the Palestinian militant organization.
