In a strategic step towards uplifting Pakistan’s tourism and hospitality sectors, the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund (NEST-PEEF) awarded fully funded scholarships to students enrolled at the Hashoo School of Hospitality Management (HSHM), Islamabad.
Held at Bahria University, the award ceremony highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in driving socio-economic change. Government leaders, industry executives, students, and families attended the event.
Minister of State for Federal Education, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, emphasized the impact of combining financial access with industry-relevant education. “This is how we equip youth to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the economy,” she said.
CEO of PEEF highlighted the initiative’s role in inclusive education. “By supporting students from underserved regions, we empower the next generation of tourism professionals.”
Mr. Haseeb A. Gardezi, Executive Director at Hashoo Group, underscored the growing demand for trained hospitality professionals. “Together with PEEF, we are creating a skilled workforce that can redefine Pakistan’s global image in hospitality.”
The event concluded with scholarship distribution, marking a new beginning for young professionals in a dynamic, high-growth industry.
