An election candidate affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was gunned down in Bajaur on Wednesday.
Rehan Zeb Khan was contesting the general election from NA-8 and PK-22 and was a long-time party worker.
According to police, Khan was travelling to Sadeeqabad Phatak for election campaign when unknown men fired on him. Khan was struck by bullets on the head and forehead and severely injured.
He was taken to the Khar hospital but did not survive.

In another incident, Awami National Party’s candidate Zahoor Ahmad was killed in an attack on his party’s office in Chaman.
Police said that a party worker named Moin Khan fired at the party’s office in Mezai Adda.
However, the armed men who attacked the office managed to flee the scene. Police is now carrying out a search.
