The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast predicting scattered rains in Islamabad and several regions of the country over the next 2-3 days.
A westerly wave has been identified as the cause of this weather phenomenon, primarily affecting the western and northern areas of Pakistan.
On Monday night, cloudy weather is expected to prevail in most western and upper regions of Pakistan. However, the north Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa areas may experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms.
Tuesday’s weather outlook
Tuesday is anticipated to bring cloudy conditions to most upper regions of the country, with rain, wind, and thunderstorm activity continuing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and north Balochistan.
Additionally, rain is expected in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan during the evening and night hours.
Fog/smog alert
The PMD has also issued a fog/smog alert for a few plain areas of Punjab, particularly during the morning hours.
