UN express concern over human rights violations in India

The UN expressed concern over human rights violations against Muslim, Christian and low caste groups

United Nations has expressed its concerns over continuous human rights violations in India.

The United Nations Human Rights Committee has expressed concern over human rights violations against Muslim, Christian and low caste communities in India. The UN also voiced concerns over the enforcement of terrorism laws in Occupied Jammu Kashmir, Assam and Manipur.

The UN rights committee demanded immediate suspension of discriminatory laws. The UN also suggested India to train their civil servants, security forces, judiciary, and community leaders in a way that human rights are not violated in the society.

The UN also declared India’s anti-terrorism laws and Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act contrary to International Laws.

The UN has asked the Indian Lawmakers to abide the anti-terrorism laws by the international laws.

The UN human rights committee also observed that the undue use of power in Jammu Kashmir, Assam and Manipur has resulted in unconstitutional killings, imprisonments, sexual assault, forced disappearances, and violence.

The committee has also suggested India to form a mechanism to identify the human rights violators.
