Zil Hajj moon sighted in Saudi Arabia, Eid ul Adha on June 16

First day of Zil Hajj falls on June 7

The Saudi authorities announced Thursday that crescent moon has been sighted in the kingdom and first day of Zil Hajj will fall on June 7 (Friday).

Arafat Day, which precedes the major Muslim holiday, will fall a day prior on June 15.

The Kingdom’s Supreme Court stated on Wednesday, calling on residents to sight the moon on the evening of June 6 (Dhu al-Qi’dah 29, 1445 AH).
