PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has advised that the caretaker government should not become “chair-taker”, reiterating that the interim setup cannot form policies.

“We have no objection to the caretaker, but they should not become ‘chair-taker’. If they become chairtaker then we will have an objection,” he told reporters while responding to a query in Badin.

He was responding to a query pertaining to the government’s measures to control the economy.

Bilawal replied that his party and the people have no issues if the measures were being introduced to bring the prices of electricity and petrol down.

“I think the economic crisis which has so many issues that it would not be resolved soon and if a solution is to be taken out then only elected representatives can bring out solutions to these problems,” Bilawal said.

When asked, Bilawal advised the reporter to question PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on his statement pertaining to the Election Commission of Pakistan to seek his understanding of the statement.
