Kenya has been swept by flood, killing around 32 people and two are missing.

More than 103,500 people have been affected.

Heavy downpours have increased over the past week, leading to flooding.

The Kenyan Red Cross stated that the organization carried out over 188 rescue missions in March.

On Wednesday, some roads in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi were closed.

After a day of intense rainfall, multiple neighborhoods in the area remained submerged.

“The situation in Nairobi has escalated to extreme levels. The county government for all its efforts is overwhelmed,” Kenya Senator Edwin Sifuna wrote on his social media platform X.

He urged the need for all national emergency services to save lives.

He also posted the video of individuals trapped in their roofs in an informal settlement in Nairobi.

According to the Kenya Red Cross Society, they successfully conducted a rescue operation in the Mathare 4A neighborhood, saving 18 individuals who were stranded as a result of heavy rains and subsequent floodwaters in Nairobi last night.
