Lebanese authorities said an Israeli drone struck a vehicle in the city while a UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) convoy was driving close by. Three people were killed in the attack and several more were injured, including six Malaysian peacekeepers.

Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry described the attack as “an escalation in Israel’s targeting of UNIFIL forces, Lebanese soldiers and civilians constituting war crimes and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law”.

The Lebanese armed group says it has launched missiles at the Stella Maris naval base northwest of Haifa.

Hezbollah’s statement on Telegram said it was Israel’s “strategic base for naval monitoring and surveillance on the northern coast”.

Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,469 Palestinians and injured 102,561 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139
people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.

In Lebanon, at least 3,102 people have been killed and 13,819 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
