Israeli forces carried out raids and airstrikes Wednesday in the occupied West Bank that killed at least nine people.
Israel’s military reported conducting counterterrorism operations in Jenin, Tulkarm and the area of the Al-Far’a refugee camp, killing a total of nine militants.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said it transported the bodies of nine people from those areas, in addition to 13 other people injured in the Israeli attacks.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X Wednesday that Israel must deal with the terrorism threat in the West Bank just as in the Gaza Strip, and accused Iran of financing and arming militants in the West Bank.
Throughout Israel’s war against Iran-backed Hamas in Gaza, Israeli forces have conducted repeated raids in the West Bank.
Israeli troops and settlers have killed more than 640 Palestinians since the Gaza war began in October 2023, while Palestinian attacks have killed at least 19 Israelis.
