The sweltering heat continues to dominate Pakistan’s biggest city Karachi as there is no chance of rain today, according to the Meteorological Department and residents are experiencing hot and humid weather, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.
Karachi weather office reported that the humidity level in the air is currently at 70%, exacerbating the discomfort felt by the city’s inhabitants. The minimum temperature recorded today is 31 degrees Celsius.
Sea winds are currently blowing at a speed of 5 kilometers per hour, contributing to the intense heat as the wind speed remains low.
The reduced wind speed makes the high temperatures feel even more oppressive. However, the Meteorological Department has indicated that sea breezes from Yarat are likely to recover completely by this evening, potentially offering some relief from the scorching conditions.
Karachi continues to endure a severe heatwave, with no immediate respite in sight. The combination of high temperatures and humidity is making daily life challenging for residents.
The potential recovery of sea breezes later today may bring some much-needed relief.
