Seven terrorists killed in Chitral gun battle: ISPR

Another six were critically injured, says armed forces media wing

At least seven terrorists were killed and another six were critically injured during an exchange of fire with security forces in the area of Ursoon, Chitral district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Sunday.

“Our troops effectively engaged terrorists location and after an intense exchange of fire, seven terrorists were killed, while another six were critically injured,” said the statement issued by the military’s media wing.

It added that sanitisation of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
“Locals of the area appreciated the operation by the security forces and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” it said.
